Sacred Heart is linked with the St. James Parish in Gouverneur.  Our parishes welcome new members. Your presence is a blessing to us. Mass and Reconciliation Schedule

Weekend Masses Saturday 5:30 PM between July 4 and Labor Day
  Sunday 8:00 AM
Daily Masses TBA This schedule varies ...  please check the weekly bulletin
     These are held at church between Easter and October 1 and in the Parish Center Chapel during the rest of the year
Reconciliation Saturday 5:50-6:10 PM between July 4 and Labor Day and by appointment

Special Masses for the Christmas Season

December 24 Christmas Eve Mass at 7:30 PM preceded by Festival of Carols by Sacred Heart Choir at 7 PM
December 25 Christmas Day Mass at 8:00 AM
January 1 Octave of Christmas: Mary, Mother of God Mass at 8:00 AM

Altar and Rosary Society
The Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society meets at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month (September - June) in the Sacred Heart Rectory Community Room. New members are always welcome to attend.

Marriage
Couples preparing for marriage are to contact the rectory at least six months before the proposed date. A definite date may not be set until all necessary paper work is completed and freedom to marry in the church is established. Please remember that Pre Cana or Engaged Encounter is required for marriage.

Visiting the Sick
Please let the rectory know who is ill, at home or in the hospital, so that we can visit and bring them the Sacraments. The parishes' Eucharistic Ministers will bring them Communion on a weekly basis.

Baptism
Parents and future parents are to contact the rectory to make arrangements for the celebration of their child's Baptism.

Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus meet at 7:30 PM on the first and third Sunday of the month at 30 Miner Street, Canton, NY. (315)386-4330.
