June 9 ... Saturday ... 10 am ... To help celebrate
the 200th anniversary of the settling of Edwards, the The Edwards
History Center will present a reenactment of the war of 1812 on the
Edwards Lions Club Field on June 9 at 10 am. All day activities
on the field that day will include. music/English dancing, chicken bbq,
pulled pork, hamburg/hotdogs, over 30 vendors, open craft
market. Also that weekend will be the community town wide
garage/yard sales ... June 9 and 10. For more information,
contact Elaine Archer.
If you are an ECS graduate, check out the alumni
website. Details have been posted regarding the annual
alumni banquet.
The Edwards Arts Council has started to post info on
the 2012 season. Check
out their website for details.

The HERD Community Network, Inc. gets its name
from the acronym formed by the towns within its service
area: Hermon, Edwards, Russell and DeKalb.
Formed in 1996, we serve as an on-line promoter for our towns.

does HERD do? |

HERD serves as an on-line
promoter for our communities. We sponsor web sites for local
municipalities, non-profit organizations or other non-commercial
groups. We pay for the domain registration and provide hosting
space at no charge to these groups. We also promote events in the
area through our website. If you would like to develop, or help in
developing the site for your group, or be a part of the group that
maintains the HERD web site, your assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
